Media’s Rush to Report Without Investigation
Contrary to initial reports from some media outlets on April 8th, it has been confirmed that the individual arrested near the residence of the Prime Minister of Pakistan is not an Afghan citizen but a Pakistani citizen named Naseer.
According to several sources, including Pakistani journalists, Naseer is a resident of Swat, Pakistan, and has a mental illness.
The Consulate of the “Islamic Emirate of Taliban” in Karachi has also stated that they have no information regarding the arrest of an Afghan citizen near the Pakistani Prime Minister’s residence.
This updated information highlights the importance of accurate reporting and the need for journalists to verify facts before publishing news stories.
